COMMUNITY LIVING - PENNSYLVANIA PROGRAM

The mission of the Community Living Program is to assist individuals and families in securing the necessary supports to live the life they desire within the community. These supports may include the individual living at home with his/her family or living in a home of their own.

Community Living Support staff will partner with the individual and his/her family to help meet current needs at home, as well as teach the skills necessary to achieve the highest level of independence within the community. Community Living Support staff can also teach the essential skills needed for an individual to live in their own home and subsequently offer support at necessary level for them to be successful in their home.

Community Living Support staff will be to act as a teacher of skills, a role model, an advocate and a resource. They will be trained on the specifics of each person, as well as the philosophies and quality standards expected of Penn-Mar employees.
