Maryland Medication Administration Training Program (MTTP)
Course Description
The Maryland Medication Administration Training Program is required for unlicensed staff to administer medications in the community-based environment in which they work. This training is required and has been approved by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). This course emphasizes the importance of proper medication administration procedures and is taught through lecture, videos, discussions, case studies, and practical applications. The course is taught over a five-day period and participants are required to pass a written examination with an 80% and a practicum with a 100%.
