Maryland Medication Administration Training Refresher (MTTP)

Course Description

The Maryland Medication Administration Refresher course is required every two years following initial certification for unlicensed staff to administer medications in the community-based environment in which they work. This training is required and has been approved by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). This course emphasizes the importance of proper medication administration procedures and is taught through lecture, videos, discussions, case studies, and practical applications. The course is taught over a three-hour period and participants are required to pass a written examination with an 80% and a practicum with a 100%. Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a training certificate valid for two years. Click here to view the requirements for the renewal process.
