Behavioral Principles and Strategies (BPS)
Course Description
The Behavioral Principles and Strategies (BPS) course is composed of four units: principles of behavior change, crisis prevention - introduction to physical interventions, physical interventions, and crisis intervention – physical interventions. This course meets the DDA requirements and is taught over a two-day period through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on training. All participants attending this course are required to complete a written examination of 80% and demonstrate competency and the ability to complete all the physical techniques. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.
