Penn-Mar offers direct care support positions, which include:

Residential Supervisor: To oversee daily operations of residential home. Responsibilities include supervision of staff and residents, maintaining home in compliance with state regulations. Some direct care duties, on-call duties, evening hours. Responsible for abiding by and enforcing Penn-Mar's financial policy and budgeting payroll expenses. Must have a high school diploma/equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years experience in Human Services preferred.

Senior Residential Assistant: Works with the resident manager with regard to management of house, the budget, preparation of meals, medication and doctor appointments, and finances of the residents. Weekend shifts. Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License with two years experience and less than three moving violations in the previous 36 months with a high school diploma/equivalent. Experience in Human Services preferred.

Residential Assistant- Part and Full Time Positions: Assist adults with developmental disabilities (consumers) with daily living activities and in achieving their individualized goals. Duties include but are not limited too; assisting with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting, transporting consumers in an agency vehicle, accompanying consumers on outings, and modeling social interaction skills. Hours typically 2nd shift and weekends. Training will be provided including CPR/AED/First Aid, Medication Certification, proper documentation procedures, management of disruptive behavior, and blood-borne pathogens.

Awake Overnight- Part and Full Time Positions: Monitor residents, provide assistance with toileting, give medication as needed, help with light housekeeping, ensure breakfast and packed lunches meet dietary standards of each consumer and transport clients to work. Shifts average ten hours, typically from 10:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Staff must have the ability to stay awake overnight, and manage their schedule effectively to allow for sleep during off hours. Trainings will be provided including; CPR/AED/First Aid, Medication Certification, proper documentation procedures, management of disruptive behavior and blood-born pathogens.

CSP- Community Support Professional: Community Living Support staff will partner with the individual and his/ her family to help meet current needs at home, as well as teach the skills necessary to achieve the highest level of independence within the community. Community Living Support staff can also teach the essential skills needed for an individual to live in their own home and subsequently offer support at necessary level for them to be successful in their home. Community Living Support staff will be to act as a teacher of skills, a role model, an advocate and a resource. They will be trained on the specifics of each person, as well as the philosophies and quality standards expected of Penn-Mar employees. Needs to have Childline Clearence and FBI checks to work in program. Must also meet other Penn-Mar Human Services hiring criteria.

ISS/CSLA Direct Care: Work one on one with a person with disabilities in their home. Hours vary by location. Typically, 6-15 hours per week with flexible schedules including afternoons and weekends.

Vocational Job Coach: Responsible for production activities and direct care of employees in the production facility. Supervises, directs and motivates employees. Motivate consumer to work to their potential in order to meet quality requirements and production deadlines.

Program Instructor: Provides assistance with the implementation of individualized and group programs. Programs include, but are not limited to; community integration, career discovery, therapeutic recreation, and creative group therapy sessions. Program Instructors are also responsible for providing daily direct support regarding life skill development, personal health and hygiene, and general supervision.

Senior Program Instructor: To develop and implement recreational and therapeutic activities for consumers attending the Day Program. Works with Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to provide programming topics such as movement and exercise, creative arts, and social skills. The SPI is also responsible for the organization of assigned activity areas, monitoring consumer progress, and assisting with general care of the people we serve. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years of experience in the field of human services, one year of experience leading group activities.

1-on-1 Program Instructor: Responsible to implement and assist in the development of more intensified individual programming. Employees are required to utilize a 'person centered' approach to support individuals achieve valued roles in the community and develop the necessary skills to obtain higher levels of independence. 1-on-1 Program Instructors may also be responsible for providing direct support with an individual's health and hygiene.
