Management Team
Penn-Mar operates in an environment that requires leaders dedicated to excellence and possessing the skills necessary to ensuring the goals of our agency are met. In short, it requires a creative, committed and competent team.
Penn-Mar’s management is made up of individuals with the experience, integrity and vision to fulfill our mission as an organization. All of our program staff began their careers working in direct care with people with disabilities. Their background ensures our consumers are the main inspiration for our decision making.
Penn-Mar’s management team is committed to providing the leadership and support necessary for our staff members to complete their jobs successfully. Our consumers and our staff deserve this, and our board of directors will accept nothing less.
Meet our Team

Keith Peterson is the Chief Executive Officer. He has been with Penn-Mar since 1994 and has worked in the field of developmental disabilities for over 35 years. Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Mathematics from the State University College at Brockport in upstate New York. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in Education from Loyola College in Maryland.

Gregory T. Miller is the Chief Operating Officer. He oversees Penn-Mar’s day-to-day operations. Gregory has served in various leadership roles with the agency since 1988 and has worked in his current position since 2000. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University and a master’s degree from Western Maryland College, now known as McDaniel College.

Susan Haus is the Director of Human Resources for Penn-Mar. Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the State University College at Brockport in upstate New York. She has been employed with Penn-Mar since 2000 and has 19 years of experience in human resources.
Robert Kuhn is Penn-Mar’s Controller . He is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years of experience spanning the manufacturing, retail, and not-for-profit business environments. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University.

Richard M. Robinson is Penn-Mar's Director of Development. In 2007, Penn-Mar added the Director of Development position to create new opportunities for donors making the experience of giving satisfying and rewarding. Rich holds a bachelor's degree in History from Pace University and a master's in History from New York University. He has worked as a development professional for 26 years with experience in annual giving, planned giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, and sponsored research.

Laura Tieman is Penn-Mar's Director of Maryland Programs. Laura has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Radford University and a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Maryland. She has worked at Penn-Mar since 1999 and has over 13 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Jackie Stevens is Penn-Mar’s Director of Pennsylvania Programs. Jackie has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Juniata College. She has worked for Penn-Mar since 1993 and began her career here as a counselor at the Smeltzer Street group home. She has worked in various capacities in all programs operated by Penn-Mar.

Cindy Richard is the Director of Southern Community Services, Penn-Mar’s Social Services Division. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Abilene Christian University in Texas and a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Canyon College in Idaho. Cindy has been with Penn-Mar since 2005 and comes to us with 25 years of experience.
