Penn-Mar Announces Jenn Hobbs to the position of Associate Director of Development

FREELAND, Md. – Oct. 30, 2017 – Penn-Mar Human Services, a recognized leader in providing innovative, quality supports and services to hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania, is pleased to name Jenn Hobbs to the position of Associate Director of Development.

In her new role at Penn-Mar, Hobbs, of Hampstead, Md., will lead efforts to engage Penn-Mar families and constituents in supporting the nonprofit’s mission of “Transforming Life into Living” for the men and women with IDD the nonprofit supports. She comes to Penn-Mar from Pathfinders of Autism, where, for six years, she spearheaded all the organization’s development efforts, including their signature special events, grant applications, corporate relationships, and individual and annual giving.

“We are excited to have Jenn Hobbs join our development team,” said Kathy Rogers, Penn-Mar’s chief development officer, and executive director of The Penn-Mar Foundation. “She brings extensive knowledge and passion working with families of individuals with disabilities, and will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing individual gift strategies for a comprehensive program for The Penn-Mar Foundation.”

Hobbs is a graduate of Washington College, where she earned a bachelor’s in English and Political Science in 2011. She was recently selected by the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities as its 2017 winner of the Media-Public Awareness Award, for an autism-focused social media campaign, which promoted awareness of disability issues.
