KINSLEY CONSTRUCTION CONTRIBUTION ALLOWS PENN-MAR HUMAN SERVICES TO TRANSFORM MORE LIVES

Penn-Mar Human Services recently recognized Kinsley Construction for its generous contribution of talent and labor in the planning and renovation of the organization’s administrative offices and training facility in Glen Rock, PA.
Five supervisors and over 20 apprentices worked on all stages of the project.  Kinsley Construction’s in-kind donation of these services is valued at several hundred thousand dollars.

“This unique and beneficial partnership has created an essential training and administrative center that will provide advanced training that is indispensible to a modern human services workforce,” said Keith Peterson, CEO of Penn-Mar Human Services.  “Kinsley Construction, through their Kinsley Education Center, has made a significant investment in Penn-Mar’s future with the development and completion of this project.”

The training center will enable Penn-Mar Human Services to provide basic, mandatory courses and a wider range of elective classes to better serve the organization’s 200 individuals with developmental disabilities.  Training classes also will be made available to other agencies in the community that do not have their own in-house training programs.

“Kinsley Construction and the Kinsley family are outstanding contributors to the York and Baltimore county communities,” said Michael V. Z. Summers, chairman of the Penn-Mar board of directors. “This gift of time, talent and material by Kinsley Construction demonstrates its respect and encouragement for adults with developmental disabilities.  By helping Penn-Mar create this new training center, Kinsley Construction has helped to assure that future generations of well-trained professionals will provides superior services and care for our community neighbors who need the most assistance.”

A plaque recognizing the donation was presented to Robert A. Kinsley, company founder, chairman and CEO, and other Kinsley Construction representatives during a recognition reception.  The plaque is prominently displayed in the Glen Rock facility.

“Kinsley Construction appreciates the opportunity to be involved with an organization such as Penn-Mar,” said Robert Kinsley.  “One of our corporate missions is to encourage all of our Kinsley Education Center students to give in their communities.  I accept this honor from Penn-Mar not only for the Kinsley family, but for all of our Kinsley associates.”

Kinsley Construction is a family-owned business, founded in 1963 as a concrete services subcontractor. Kinsley has grown into one of the most respected design/build, construction management and full-service general contracting firms in the mid-Atlantic region.
