RESIDENTIAL

THE ROLE of FAMILY

Relationships with family are crucial to the transition an individual makes when taking up residence in a home operated by Penn-Mar. During this new phase of life, it is imperative that family and staff work together to learn about the new resident, Penn-Mar’s requirements under state and federal law, the regulations under which we operate and our own internal strategic and quality management plans.

Your primary contact will be with the staff working in the home. Day-to-day questions or concerns can be addressed by contacting the residential supervisor, who is responsible for overseeing the home and staff. If additional information is needed or your concerns are not addressed, you should contact the program manager and subsequently the director.

Penn-Mar is ready and able to provide the level of support needed. We take a lead role in maintaining the health, happiness and financial well-being of your family member. At the same time, we do not seek to displace existing caretakers and will work to support family members or guardians in maintaining their important roles.
