Laura Tieman is Penn-Mar’s Chief Operations Officer of Maryland. She collaboratively provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Human Resources team along with her Pennsylvania counterpart in addition to supporting the day-to- day operations of the organization’s Maryland programs by focusing on individualized person-centered customized supports. She also works with the senior leadership team to design and implement business strategies and policies. Laura joined Penn-Mar in 1999, holding programming positions throughout the organization, including Residential Home Program Coordinator, Supervisor and Manager; Maryland Program Administrator for Residential, Individual Support Services, Community Supported Living Arrangements and Nursing; and Director of Maryland Programs. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Radford University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola University Maryland. In 2012, Laura obtained an advanced Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
