For more than 25 years, Penn-Mar Human Services has been dedicated to helping secure essential dignity, freedom and self-worth for our neighbors with special needs. From vocational training and employment to residential communities and social services, Penn-Mar provides vital support to thousands of individuals and families each year.
But what will tomorrow bring? Will hope and opportunity be available for everyone in our community, or will some be turned away despite their special needs?
Government funding is uncertain, and community organizations like the United Way help cover only a small portion of the cost of Penn-Mar’s operations. For our clients and their families, it is imperative that they find Penn-Mar Always there in offering career opportunities, employment skills, increased independent living and support. Always there to provide a pathway to a better life for those challenged by developmental disabilities. Always there for families and caregivers who need help with loved ones with special needs.
Clearly, one of our greatest challenges today is to build a lasting endowment to secure the future of Penn-Mar for years to come.
