Power outages—not a problem anymore, thanks to Civitan! With the severity of the past few winters, Penn-Mar was hit hard with power outages in their residential homes. Penn-Mar will use the funds, $15,313, to place some of the generators at the homes of individuals with medical conditions where a reliable source of power is essential to run certain monitoring devices and electrically powered equipment. With the generosity of the Baltimore Civitan Club’s Chesapeake Foundation, Penn-Mar Human Services received a significant contribution to purchasing generators for several homes. Rich Robinson from Penn-Mar Human Services, is handed a check by Sly Bieler and Doug Potter of the Baltimore Civitan Club.
