2018 Black-Tie Gala Sets New Fundraising Record
2018 broke all records for the second year in a row. Over 600 people attended the 26th annual event and raised nearly $725,000 to support the transformational mission of Penn-Mar Human Services. We are grateful to our 2018 Honorees of Distinction, Ann and Michael Hankin, along with our generous sponsors, donors and attendees for making the night truly special. The evening featured a dynamic and tasteful tour through the wines of Sonoma and Napa Valleys, amid a backdrop of culinary delights. Guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner with curated wine pairings, a spirited live auction as well as a wide array of hand-picked silent auction items for every taste. The evening was topped off with live music, dancing and the chance to be part of a night that changes lives and opens minds to our growing mission.
The proceeds from Black Tie Gala directly benefit the mission of Penn-Mar and ensure high levels of support as traditional funding sources are not enough. This year’s gala funded the third year of Career Ladders – a national credentialing program for Direct Support Professionals to educate, recognize, and reward this critical workforce, without whom we would not be able to transform life into living for individuals with disabilities. Other initiatives include our Community Participation Scholarship Fund so that all of the individuals we support, regardless of financial means, have an opportunity to fully participate in the community.
Save the Date: Saturday, March 2, 2019 for the 27th Annual Black-Tie Gala. We will be unveiling details soon!
