Community Learning Services
The Community Learning Program (CLP) provides an alternative to facility-based traditional day habilitation services. Penn-Mar’s CLP creates lives of value and acceptance for individuals with disabilities through community partnership and choice. These services support individuals involved in activities in integrated community settings that improve their communication, social skills, health, and employability. All services provided are in accordance with the individual’s plan of care and through a detailed, person-centered planning process accompanied by program objectives, individual programming, and regular assessments. Groups are formed based upon the individuals’ interests, preferences, strengths, and needs. Each group will participate in its own community (a location closest to its home). This will foster the growth of natural community supports for an individual outside program operation hours.
