Penn-Mar Human Services Announces 24th Annual Black Tie Gala
Annual fundraising event raises much needed funds for Penn-Mar operations and services for adults with developmental disabilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania
March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and on March 5, more than 400 friends of Penn-Mar Human Services will come together at 24th annual Penn-Mar Black Tie Gala in support of hundreds of men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Chaired by Wendy Gallo, of Cockeysville, Md., Penn-Mar’s signature fundraising event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the nonprofit’s operations and services with a mission to transform life into living for the individuals Penn-Mar serves.
The evening’s theme, “A Night in the Outback,” will feature select wines from Penfolds of Australia to be paired with a four course gourmet dinner experience, as well as an oyster bar, an open bar, dancing and live entertainment, as well as silent and live auctions featuring an Australian dinner for 12, vacation getaways, and an Annapolis boating adventure, to name a few.
Some of this year’s major event sponsors include Glatfelter Insurance Group, New Standard, Kelly Insurance Group, as well as Koons Toyota, PNC Bank, M&T Bank, PeoplesBank, and WellSpan.
