What is your job title? Marketing Manager
What’s an average day like for you? It varies daily but typically consists of social media management, website editing and maintenance, content creation, design work, and meetings with the Advancement team, other departments, and external partners.
What’s one thing you wish people realized about your job? It is SO MUCH FUN! I genuinely love the creative freedom my boss has given me and the different projects I work on. I have been with Penn-Mar for 13 months now and have yet to have a bad day.
In another life, your career path is . . . Interior designer. I love looking at a space and envisioning all the different options for layout, design, colors, etc.
Why is Penn-Mar’s mission important to you? Penn-Mar supports so many amazing individuals and provides life-changing support which is so vital to helping them live courageously. It is so encouraging to work for an organization that impacts so many people in the community.
What’s one thing you wished the general public knew about people with IDD? People with IDD are PEOPLE. The adults we support are capable of living their best lives and should be treated as such.
What’s your favorite food? PASTA. I love pasta! And sushi 🙂
Any hidden talents or fun facts someone wouldn’t know about you? Fun fact – I bungee jumped off the world’s highest commercial bungee bridge.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, you’d visit . . . The Maldives. I would love to relax over the clear blue ocean on a hammock in complete peace!
In your spare time, you’ll be found . . . Spending time outside with my dog, Buddy. I also enjoy exploring different neighborhoods of Baltimore and trying new restaurants.
A book, movie, TV show, sports team, etc. you love: My favorite movie of all time is The Parent Trap. To this day, I find a lot of comfort in watching my favorite childhood movie.
Something fun, interesting, or meaningful about yourself if you feel like sharing/we didn’t already ask: I love cooking and trying new recipes!
